6 Easy Steps To Achieving Initial ISO Certification
The process outlined below describes the 6 easy key steps to achieving ISO Management System Certification to either ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001 and ISO 22301 with Aligned Certification Ltd from initial enquiry, assessment, through to the issue of the certificate/ granting of registration.
STEP 1 (Enquiry)
To receive a formal quotation, applicants are required to complete the Aligned request a quotation enquiry form. This form is located on this website, to view please click here.
STEP 2 (Quotation)
On receipt of your completed enquiry form, based on the information provided, a formal quotation proposal along with the certification terms and conditions are provided. The quotation includes the assessment cost, number of assessment days required for the Stage 1 and Stage 2 assessments and annual surveillance visit fee.
STEP 3 (Quotation Acceptance)
On receipt of acceptance of the quotation from the applicant, an order acknowledgement is issued. An account administrator is appointed and a date for the stage1 planning/readiness assessment is agreed.
STEP 4 (Stage 1 Readiness Assessment)
The stage 1 readiness assessment is completed in line with a pre issued visit plan. The purpose of this assessment is to see how ready the applicant is to move to the stage 2 full implementation assessment. On completion of the stage 1, a detailed report is provided which confirms the auditor’s findings, recommendations and planning arrangements for the Stage 2 assessment.
STEP 5 (Stage 2 Assessment)
The appointed Lead Auditor (plus support auditors if required) conducts the Stage 2 audit to the agreed scope and assessment Standard. On completion of the assessment, a report is produced by the Lead Auditor that confirms the outcome of the assessment including the auditor’s recommendation for certification of the assessed management system.
STEP 6 (Award of Certificate of Registration)
On completion of the whole assessment process, including effective closure of any non-conformities raised (if applicable) the appointed Lead Auditor raises a recommendation for certification approval. This is presented to the Aligned Technical Team for independent review and final sign off of the assessment undertaken. The independent review is carried out to ensure all stages of the certification process have been completed satisfactorily in accordance with Aligned policies and procedures.
On satisfactory completion of the Technical Review, a certificate of registration is raised and issued to the successful applicant.
