Course Description:

The aim of this course is to provide delegates with the knowledge and skills required to
perform first, second and third-party audits of occupational health and safety management
systems against ISO 45001, in accordance with ISO 19011 and ISO/IEC 17021, as applicable.

Who Should Attend:

Those that have completed a Lead Auditor 5 day QMS or EMS recognised training course that are looking to gain knowledge and skills in conducting ISO 45001 health & safety assessments.

Assessment: Continuous assessment and a 1 hour 40 minute examination.

Recommend prior knowledge: ISO 45001:2018 Foundation (OHSMS)

Course Programme:

• Purpose and benefits of an OH&S management system
• Essential definitions to help you interpret and audit ISO 45001 requirements
• Clause by clause analysis of the  ISO 45001 clauses and examples of evidence that would show conformance with these requirements
• The importance of hazard identification, and assessment of risks and opportunities
• How organizations can take a preventive approach to risk management through the effective implementation of ISO 45001
• To review procedures and evaluate conformance with ISO 45001
• Preparation of an on-site audit plan Stage 1 & Stage 2  audits that establishes effective audit trails across processes, areas and between members of an audit team
• How to conduct process and area audits and evaluate the effective implementation of an OH&S management system
• Gathering objective evidence through observation, interviewing and reviewing documentation
• To evaluate objective evidence and correctly identify conformance and Non-conformance with requirements
• How to produce effective reports against the requirements of ISO 45001, writing and grading of nonconformity reports and evaluation of proposals for corrective action.
